Not everyone has a computer, or more importantly, an internet connection. People traveling are not likely to have either. What almost everyone does have is a telephone, especially mobile telephones. A large majority of the entire U.S. population owns a cell phone. Voice mail is the way to reach them. Traditional and other advertising will tell people about our system, but unlike other advertising that has to deliver a new message each time, our message is always the same. Only once does someone have to put our telephone number(s) into their cell phone. Additional advertising will serve to remind them to call the system and will promote new features and services that will be coming onboard as the system expands.

Florida Keys Voice Mail offers a number of easy to use special features that are completely new. You can record a separate message for each day of the week, promoting that days events and specials. In fact, you can record multiple messages for the same day that will begin playing on the system at specific times in order to feature the most up to the minute information for the day. You can also set certain messages to play on multiple days if you don't want to use the daily feature and you only need to record the message once.

It is basicly radio on demand. On radio, your advertisement is heard only by the people actually listening during those seconds. If someone hears just part of your ad and wanted to hear it again, they might have to wait for hours to hear the ad replay. With FKVM, it is radio on demand. The caller can listen to your advertisement when they like, 24 hours a day.

In addition, advertisers are included in the daily calendar of events. The daily calendar is searchable by the caller in sophisticated but easy to use ways with any touch-tone telephone.

Potential customers will hear your message and if you chose, they will have the option of pressing one key on their telephone to be directly connected to your business. You will have the option of setting different calling numbers based on time of day and day of the week. Direct Connect will have a small additional charge.

People traveling, or walking down the street do not have a telephone directory on them. There is no way to call directory assistance and ask where the nearest seafood restaurant is. They can't ask 411 for the location of the nearest dive shop. With Florida Keys Voice Mail they can. Your advertisement is not just a voice box.

Every advertisement is connected to a relational database on our server containing important and useful information about your business. This allows the caller to easily search for the exact information they are looking for by various criteria. The criteria is custom designed for each category of business to provide the most relevant search abilities for the caller.

The listings are searchable in various ways including category, location by city name, location or by mile marker or even their GPS coordinates. For instance, someone could punch in a mile marker, select restaurants, and the system will provide information on the nearest restaurants.

Every ad has a summary version and a full version. In a search, only the summary version is played, but if the person wants more information about the business, they can press one touch tone key to listen to the entire ad. If the system is not stopped by a key press after it lists all the nearest restaurants, if will ask the caller which direction they are travelling (North or South) and if they would like to hear more listings in that direction. They could also, for some areas, such as Key West, refine the search further to specific types of restaurants, such as seafood, Italian, or ice cream, or even fast food. They can also select the distance to the listing, from one mile to 9 miles using a single key on their telephone keypad.

When the system is fully operational, we will even be able to capture the GPS information from a caller's mobile telephone to find the nearest locations and to provide walking or driving information. We could even provide information on parking, or directly connect them with a cab company, depending upon their needs.

There is MORE! All the voice mail messages are also available on the web. Your business will have its own web page designed for mobile devices with your business information which also makes the voice advertisements available. Your voice messages will also be included in our site listings and index. Thus, if you don't have a web site now, you get one free from us. We will even post your basic information and a selection of photographs on your main page at no additional charge. Our web pages will be designed for quick and proper display on a wide range of mobile devices. Our domain keysvoiceguide.com will contain client's web sites. A basic page with contact information, text describing your services and up to three photographs including links to your voice advertisements are included at no additional cost. We can produce additional pages and content with reasonable rates.

We can also produce audio and video commercials for use on websites and in other ways at a small additional cost. FKVM through its parent Blue Planet Offices, Inc. has access to a complete portable audio/video production facility.

Prior to launching the full system with a large number of telephone lines, we will be building the system. Before the public is invited on a mass scale, the system needs to have content. It will have a number of lines initially and will be promoted in many ways. Businesses will be able to participate in the system for only $9.95 a month. After full launch with dozens of telephone lines and tens of thousands of dollars worth of promotion, the system will cost advertisers a very reasonable $49.95 a month. The rate is lower on a monthly basis for advance quarterly or yearly payment. You can't even purchase a short classified ad in the Key West Citizen for more than a few days for that amount of money. Plus, if you prepay for a full year at $9.95 a month, you will be on the full system for approximately six months saving a total of $240.00.

FKVM will be connected to the telephone network with T1 spans from Bell South in addition to direct connections with other long distance telephone networks. Further, the system will be connected with VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) using both Vonage and magicJack. The VOIP connections will be available from the date the system goes online making long distance calls to the system virtually free.

Clients can record their advertisements from any telephone. In addition, when our retail and office location opens, clients will be able to use one of our three Dialogic Promptmaster telephones in a sound booth to record their advertisements and annoucements. The Promptmaster telephone is a special high quality telephone manufactured for the purpose of recording to voice mail systems. It has high quality sound components. The Promptmaster also comes with a power supply and has a button to ring the voice mail system. Regular telephones cannot be plugged into voice boards as the boards expect the current that is on a telephone line to operate and require the high voltage the phone system puts out in order to ring the line and have the board answer the call. The telephone has input, output jacks and a volume control. The red button on the front of the telephone is used to ring the voice mail system. An LED and audio signal indicates the line is ringing.

FKVM uses the telephone to record annoncements and system prompts. We also have a professional recording setup (in addition to our mobile studio) in our office for recording system prompts and other parts of the voice mail system. This ensures that we have the best quality sound files on the FKVM system. Shown are two studio quality condensor microphones with a windscreen, a pair of stereo headphones, and a Fostex MR-8 mkII, an 8 track digital recording system.

Shortly after system launch FKVM plans to record appropriate portions of the system in Spanish, French and German. Later it is possible we will record portions of the system in other foreign languages. Long range plans include having appropriate parts of the system recorded in multiple languages and having a live foreign language translation service.

However, you don't even have to record your ad. If you don't want to take the time, or you don't like your voice and don't have reliable people to record the ad for you, you don't have to record it at all. You can upload your ad as text to our website. It will be converted automatically to voice by our software using the industry leader AT&T Natural Voices. You have a choice of a male voice or a female voice. Your text will also be converted automatically into the other three languages the system provides.

In the alternative, you or someone you pick, can record your english advertisments and announcements verbally and upload a text version for automatic conversion into the three foreign languages we offer. We can also use natural speakers if you desire at an additional charge.

After additional portions of the system launch, telephones will be placed in businesses throughout Key West and elsewhere in the Florida Keys that will allow free calls to the system. Over 20 different services will be available on the system and a number of these services or features will offer advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
